A passenger on an Air India flight from Bengaluru to Delhi suffered a heart attack, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in Lucknow. According to reports, the passenger who suffered the heart attack was 80 years old. Upon learning of the incident, the pilot immediately alerted traffic control (ATC) about the emergency. ATC then immediately diverted the flight to Lucknow Airport.

The entire incident occurred on Thursday (May 28). Air India Express flight number AI-2418 was traveling from Bengaluru to Delhi. The flight departed for Delhi at 5:25 pm, but mid-air, the elderly man’s health deteriorated. ATC declared a medical emergency and diverted the flight to Lucknow Airport. The plane landed safely at Lucknow Airport at around 10:45 pm. A team of doctors already present at the airport treated the elderly man and saved his life. There were a total of 128 passengers on board.
Bad weather impacts flights
Meanwhile, bad weather is also affecting flights. IndiGo flight 6E-7104, scheduled to fly from Hyderabad to Jagdalpur on May 28th, had to return mid-way to Hyderabad due to bad weather on Thursday. There were 79 passengers on board. Fortunately, the flight landed safely and all passengers were evacuated.
This IndiGo flight departed from Hyderabad for Jagdalpur on Thursday (May 28) at 2:51 pm. However, due to bad weather in Jagdalpur, the plane was unable to land. Consequently, the decision was made to return the flight to Hyderabad. Approximately two and a half hours later, at 5:15 pm, the plane landed safely at Hyderabad Airport. The airline then officially cancelled the flight and all passengers were safely disembarked.
