Pamgarh/Katghora: A massive fire has been raging in the Makhanpur forest area under Pali Range for the last 24 hours. The forest, which falls under the Katghora Forest Division, continues to burn as the fire spreads further.
According to local villagers, the fire started yesterday afternoon and has still not been brought under control. The incident has created panic in nearby villages, as the flames continue to spread.

Forest Burning, Staff Missing
Villagers say the fire has already engulfed a large part of the forest. The growing flames have also increased the risk for people and animals living in nearby settlements.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, no forest department staff or officials have been seen at the site.
Serious Negligence Alleged
Locals have accused the beat staff of negligence and claimed that no one has reached the area even after repeated information was given.
Residents alleged that officials are drawing government salaries but are not fulfilling their responsibilities during emergencies.
