A case of incest involving a minor under the pretext of marriage has come to light in Pamgarh, Janjgir district. Police arrested the accused following a complaint. A juvenile in conflict with law is also involved in the case. The incident occurred in the Pamgarh police station area.
According to police information, the accused lured and abducted a minor girl on May 24, 2026. Based on a family report, a case was registered at Pamgarh Police Station under Crime Number 222/2026, Section 137(2) of the Indian Penal Code, and an investigation was initiated.
Considering the seriousness of the case, the Pamgarh police station was investigating the abductee and the accused. In this connection, on May 27, 2026, on the information of an informant, the accused Deepak Chauhan, age 33, resident of Korba SECL Block, Police Station Manikpur, District Korba, was caught. Upon interrogation, he confessed to luring a minor along with another accomplice and kidnapping her, and committing incest under the pretext of marriage.
